Here are a few reasons why you might just consider ditching your underwear, especially when enjoying some downtime at home.

Unless it’s that time of the month, it is beneficial not to wear any underwear as this may assist in preventing yeast infections. Most women tend to wear tight-fitting jeans and pants which may cause tinea cruris, a fungal infection caused by wearing tight-fitting clothes or wet clothing. Not wearing any underwear may assist in keeping the vagina fresh and free from discomfort and minimize odor, as sweat can easily be confined in the genital area. Losing the underwear also protects your vulva (outer part of the vagina), as wearing tight-fitting clothing may cause the labia (vaginal lips) to get irritation and react resulting in an infection.
When wearing underwear, it is advisable to wear underwear that is made from a breathable material such as 100% cotton, as artificial materials may cause a reaction, it is also important to keep in mind how you wear clothes when you are not wearing any underwear, you do not want to wear tight-fitting clothes, but rather loose and more comfortable clothing to allow your genital area to breath and sweat to evaporate.
